Put simply, anxiety disorders are conditions which make our physical body react inappropriately to normal fear inducing stimuli. They are caused mostly by repeated over-stimulation of the system in our body which helps us to react when we feel threatened in some way. This repeated stimulation resets our 'benchmark' for normal anxiety levels in a small organ in the brain called the Amygdala. Even in anxiety disorders, the Amygdala reacts with, what it believes to be, normal levels of anxiety.

By over-stimulating this system, the body and mind creates anxious habits that can escalate into anxiety and panic disorders such as:

Social Anxiety
Situational Anxiety
Phobias
